Day 1: Arrival in Hangzhou – A City of Poetry and Water

  • Arrive in Hangzhou via train or flight.
  • Meet your guide and transfer to hotel; welcome check-in and orientation.

Afternoon

  • Take a relaxed walk through Qinghefang Ancient Street, lined with teahouses, apothecaries, and traditional snack stalls.
  • Visit a traditional fan or tea shop, learning about Hangzhou’s artisanal roots.

Evening

  • Head to Gongchen Bridge Old Street.
  • Enjoy a twilight stroll through historic stone alleys, canal-side lights, and charming homes still lived in by local residents.

Day 2: West Lake, Seal Carving & Southern Song Afternoon Tea

Morning

  • Take a private rowboat ride on West Lake, entering calm waters far from the tourist routes. Glide past willow trees, islands, and quiet pavilions.
  • Visit the iconic Viewing Fish at Flower Pond garden.

Afternoon

Day 4: Wine, Literature & Garden Theater in Shaoxing

Morning

  • Visit Lanting Pavilion, the birthplace of the famed “Orchid Pavilion Preface” by calligrapher Wang Xizhi.
  • Walk among bamboo groves and calligraphy inscriptions.

Afternoon

  • Stop at the Shaoxing Yellow Wine Museum to learn about China's oldest brewing technique.
  • Then, take part in a hands-on paint-your-own wine jar experience, using lacquerware and folk painting techniques.

Evening

  • Attend the outdoor performance “Shenyuan Night”, a poetic retelling of classical Shaoxing tales using lights, live actors, and riverside staging in Shen Garden.
  • Optional: enjoy a cup of Shaoxing rice wine under the moon before returning to your hotel.

Day 5: East Lake & Departure
